The Community Champion project raises awareness of important health messages and empowers indivduals to make informed choices.

We have health conversations during our Community Groups, such as Coffee Morning and Foodshare.  We also have a slideshow with health information in the reception and the hall at Jubilee Centre.  This is for all the people that come inot the building throughout the week.  Champions receive training on a topic before talking to people in the local community and signposting them to further information when appropriate.

Our current topics are Breast & Bowel cancer screening.

Past topics include: Type 2 diabetes; cardiovascular disease; mental health.
