The Branch is part of a project called Community Champions.

One of the priorities at the moment is to improve support and knowledge about type 2 diabetes and to help people talk about it.

Finding out your risk of type 2 diabetes only takes a few minutes. It could be the most important thing you do today..

Some Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes

Peeing more than usual, particularly at night

Feeling thirsty all the time

Feeling very tired

Losing weight without trying

itching around your penis or vagina, or repeatedly getting thrush

Cuts or wounds taking longer to heal

Blurred vision 

Contact your GP if you have any of these symptoms

NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme

The NHS and Diabetes UK have created a programme to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
